Two-way streets with a width between 8 and 12 metres
Recommended clearance between the central Ped-ZoneTM sign and the side Cyclo-ZoneTM bollard:
- Local street: 3.0 m
- Collector: 3.0 m to 3.3 m
- Arterial: 3.3 m to 3.6 m
Note: If parking is frequent, the Cyclo-ZoneTM flexible bollards each side of the street are not required.
Two-way streets with a width of 9 metres and a parking lane on one side of the street
Recommended clearance between the central Ped-ZoneTM sign and the side Cyclo-ZoneTM bollard:
- Local street: 3.0 m
- Collector: 3.0 m to 3.3 m
- Arterial: 3.3 m to 3.6 m
Note: If parking is frequent, the Cyclo-ZoneTM flexible bollard on the side of the street is not required.
Recommended clearance between the central sign and the side bollard
Depending on the road type, here is the recommended clearance between the central Ped-ZoneTM sign and the side Cyclo-ZoneTM bollard. To account for the space occupied by the sign and the bollards, the centre-to-centre distance is 0.2 m greater than the recommended clearance. For example, to obtain a clearance of 3.2 m, the sign / bollards must be installed with a centre-to-centre distance of 3.4 m.

Suggested spacing between central signs
We suggest that the distance between Ped-ZoneTM signs should be 80 metres to 100 metres in school and playground areas. In residential areas, we suggest a distance of 100 metres to 200 metres.
